  Taylor Designs II Mutoh equipment is notorious among end users for its flexibility and allowance for creativity and experimentation with various substrates. Ken Taylor, President and Owner of Taylor Designs II, has taken this flexibility to a new level by applying unique and innovative techniques to his Falcon Indoor printers. He continually stretches his creative ideas and tests his Mutoh equipment in the process. In the printing industry since 1996, Taylor opened his own company in 2001 called Taylor Designs II. However, it is not your typical sign shop. Taylor has mastered the art of doing dye sublimation with his two Mutoh Falcon Indoor printers. While not the standard use for the Falcon Indoor, Taylor uses it to create the most unusual output. Always searching for new and innovative applications, Taylor dye sublimates anything from t-shirts to table tops. His specialty, however, is aluminum. “There isn’t anything you can’t do with the Mutoh printers,” says Taylor. “I create aluminum calendars, aluminum business cards, and aluminum clocks all using the dye sublimating process with the Falcon Indoor printers and dye sublimation inks.” Having used other printers in the past, the simplicity and user-friendly nature of the Mutoh equipment is what attracted Taylor to the Mutoh line. “I have owned a lot of printers,” shares Taylor, “and none of them compare to the Mutoh equipment. I love that I can easily operate the printers and maintain the minimal cleaning and maintenance without any trouble.” Taylor has also found his Mutoh printers to be extremely reliable. “I run over a 1,000 prints on them a day and often they run around the clock. Despite the constant use, the output is always amazing.” Although Taylor has had tremendous success using his Falcon Indoor for dye sublimation, Mutoh now offers the Viper, a digital transfer printer, specifically designed for dye sublimation.
