Mutoh America’s Toucan LT Board Printer Wins 2005 DPI Product-of- the-Year Award
PHOENIX, Ariz., December 12, 2005 – Mutoh America Inc., a worldwide manufacturer of large format commercial inkjet printers is proud to announce that the Toucan LT Board Printer won the 2005 DPI Product of the Year award, at the 2005 SGIA Digital Trade Show in Phoenix, Arizona, December 8-10. The Toucan LT printer took top honors in the “Rigid Substrate” category.
DPI (Digital Printing & Imaging Association) holds the DPI Product-of-the-Year competition in conjunction with the annual SGIA Trade Show. The competition honors those digital imaging products having a major and beneficial impact on the industry. The DPI Product-of-the-Year awards are some of the most prestigious awards in the industry. A panel of judges anonymously evaluates submissions based on criteria that include image color, detail and tonality.
“The challenging images and test patterns in the test image provided by DPI showcased some of the finest abilities of the Toucan LT Board Printer,” says Jeff Springan, Product Manager for Mutoh America. “We are so proud to showcase our award-winning work, head-to-head with our competition and even more proud to say that we won!”
The prize winning image was created with the Toucan LT Board Printer, Mutoh’s LT Solvent ink, Gilman Brother’s, Corona-Treated, Duraplast media, and Onyx version 6.0 software.
