Mutoh America’s Toucan LT Wins 2005 DPI Product-of-the-Year Award
PHOENIX, Ariz., December 12, 2005 – Mutoh America Inc., a worldwide manufacturer of large format commercial inkjet printers is proud to announce that the Toucan LT won the 2005 DPI Product-of-the-Year award, at the 2005 SGIA Digital Trade Show in Phoenix, Arizona, December 8-10. The Toucan LT printer took top honors in the “Poster Print” category.
DPI (Digital Printing & Imaging Association) holds the DPI Product-of-the-Year competition in conjunction with the annual SGIA Trade Show. The competition honors those digital imaging products having a major and beneficial impact on the industry. The DPI Product-of-the-Year awards are some of the most prestigious awards in the industry. A panel of judges anonymously evaluates submissions based on criteria that include color, detail, and tonality.
“The Toucan LT printer has been tremendously successful and winning this competition validates its best-in-class performance and value,” says Guy Cipresso, Vice President/General Manager of Mutoh America. “We are extremely proud to have captured this award.”
The prize winning image was created with the Toucan LT, Mutoh’s new Eco-Ultra ink, Intellicoat GFPhoto media, and Onyx version 6.0 software. The Toucan LT printer with Mutoh Eco-Ultra ink does not require ventilation or lamination and produces high-resolution, outdoor durable images on a variety of inexpensive, uncoated media. The Toucan LT is available in a 64- or 87-inch version.
