Sales Applications Engineer – Southern California - Torrance
Duties include but not limited to:
- Train new and established dealers to provide seamless integration regarding the installation and use of Mutoh products. This includes networking, RIP software and driver applications, color management\profiling, software\hardware calibration and optimization as those applications that apply to Mutoh printers and cutters.
- Travel to dealer and customer sites to analyze and correct color and/or other application related issues.
- Become proficient at demonstrating Mutoh products to dealers and customers.
- Help promote and maintain Mutoh programs, specials and policies.
- Work with Regional Manager to help develop regional strategies.
Requirements
- Strong software aptitude and skills
- Strong mechanical skills and analytical trouble-shooting ability
- Experience with large format digital printers - solvent experience a plus
- Experience with vinyl cutters and cutting software/applications
- Ability to profile media using various RIP packages, particularly Onyx and SAI (Flexi)
- Experience with sign and print design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, etc.
- IP Network skills for setup and operation of printers
- Strong customer interaction skills – ability diffuse tense or adverse situations in person, via phone, or through written communications (email)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel 30-50%.
- Reports to Director of Sales
- Respond to oral and written inquiries from customers in a timely manner
- Become an expert on all Mutoh products and services
- One to two years’ experience in a Sales Application Engineering field
- Self-starter with a willingness to take the initiative
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient with MS Office suite
