Customer Field Service Engr  - Southern California

The CSE will provide both on-site and telephone technical support for all Mutoh products, assist with planning, problem diagnosis,  refurbishment program, and other miscellaneous duties; reports to the Director of Sales.

 
Responsibilities:
Provide phone support for dealers and end users Latin America -- assist with problem diagnosis
Review, update and create service documentation for all product lines
Provide first level technical training to dealer support staff
Provide second level technical training to external 3rd party field service engineers
Provide second level support for internal field service engineers
Cross train junior engineers on all products (cutter, printer, RIP, Thunderbird, SEH box)
Assist with color management issues
Travel to customer sites for service and support as required
Open service calls as required and copy call information to the service info folder
Research, prepare and ship parts as required
Understand and utilize RMA process for warranty and OEM part replacement
Test, troubleshoot and repair all Mutoh printer and cutter models
Perform product upgrades as required
Provide feedback, verbal and written, regarding new and existing problems
Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction

Requirements:

Electronic degree, certification, or equivalent experience
Strong mechanical aptitude
Valid driver’s license; clean driving record
Mathematical ability to calculate percentages and print coverage speeds (sq/ft hr)
Ability to lift 60 lbs
Ability to travel up to 40%
