Toucan delivers industrial strength printing speed & quality

According to the Eco-Solvent Printer Survey by IT Strategies Group, 64% of those surveyed planned on purchasing a true solvent printer within the next year. The Toucan provides dependable high volume industrial print speeds up to 800 square feet per hour and true image quality print resolutions up to 720 dots per inch (dpi) for outdoor applications. Toucan industrial printers are well suited to meet a production run of 256, 36-inch by 48-inch posters in an eight-hour shift, printing at 400 square feet per hour.

The solvent-based Toucan produces CMYKlclm high quality prints that are UV and water-resistant for up to three-years in outdoor applications without lamination on a wide variety of inexpensive, uncoated materials. The Toucan 64 six-color supports a print width of 62-inches and a top speed of 800 square feet per hour, while the Toucan 87 delivers the same print speed with a print width of 86 inches. In production mode, the Toucan 64 six-color can print a four-foot by eight-foot panel in less than five minutes.

"After visiting the Mutoh facility and seeing demos of the Mutoh printer and plotter I was sold," Scott Koehler, owner of FASTSIGNS on Central, commented on his recent Mutoh purchase.

After carefully evaluating both Mutoh and Mimaki equipment, Koehler selected the Mutoh Falcon II Outdoor and the Ultima 1400 plotter to fulfill his production needs. "I felt the Mutoh equipment was more user friendly and would produce at a higher rate," Koehler stated. "Also a huge benefit, the Falcon II Outdoor does not require any special ventilation." Falcon Outdoor Junior soars at Orlando ISA show

The Mutoh Falcon Outdoor Junior was announced at the April ISA show in Orlando, Florida and sales exploded with the announcement of this new product! The Junior began shipping the first week of June and Mutoh America sold out of their first shipment within 24-hours. With the use of the popular Eco-Solvent Plus inks, the versatility of its size and the durability of the product, the Junior is the perfect solution for the small sign shop or the customer who is looking to start-out in the outdoor printing market. The Falcon Outdoor Junior is the lowest priced solvent printer on the market at $10,995.

To produce decals and images requiring contour cutting, Mutoh America offers the Junior bundled with the Mutoh Ultima vinyl cutters. Mutoh Hires a New West Coast Sales Manager

Mutoh America is extremely pleased to announce the addition of Dan Cota as the Western Region Sales Manager. Dan will be working closely with Randy Rickert, Mutoh Director of Sales, and the rest of the Mutoh sales team to increase sales and foster the Reseller relationships. Dan attended San Jose State with a criminal justice major. He then worked as a Regional Sales Trainer for GE Capital, before moving to Encad as their Pacific Northwest Sales Manager.
