Customer Spotlight
Prism Creative
It’s
not uncommon for a print shop to expand their services by
putting a designer on staff. But Prism Creative in Newmarket,
Ontario, did things just the opposite. According to owner/partner
Mike Soden, Prism began as a full-service creative advertising
firm—as they remain to this day—with clients
including Sony, The Home Depot, IBM, and Royal Bank. They
purchased
their first large format printer—a Mutoh—ten
years ago when Soden and partner Glenn Dewhirst desired
greater control and accountability for the printed materials
they were designing for clients.

Wholesale
Banners/Mutoh Open House a Great Success
Mutoh America hosted an open house for Wholesale Banners on
July 8, 2005. The open house gave Phoenix area customers a unique
opportunity to check out the latest products, including the Toucan LT and
the Falcon Outdoor Jr. Customers had the chance to test drive the
products, ask questions, give feedback, and ultimately, purchase the
printer of their choice. Breakfast and lunch were provided and some great
door prizes were awarded. The result was a success for Wholesale Banners
and Mutoh. “People were pleasantly surprised to find out their next
door neighbor is one of largest inkjet printer manufacturers in the world.
We were able to establish new relationships and turn neighbors into
customers,” said Randy Rickert, Director of Sales.

Tip of the Month:
Reducing
Horizontal Banding
Everyone
knows that horizontal banding is one of the most difficult artifacts to
deal with when inkjet printing. There are several things you can do to
minimize horizontal banding:
- Learn proper maintenance and adjustment techniques
that will ensure the condition of your print head in order to reduce
nozzle drop out.
- Make sure you
choose quality media and ink combinations.
- Make sure you are using proper settings within your printer
and driver.

more about reducing horizontal banding on our website. |
