TEL-M-OFF Is All Smiles With Toucan
Pat Pennington, of TEL-M-OFF, made a special trip
to see the printer that prints over 800 sq.
ft/hr. in vivid color, while lasting up to three
years without lamination. Was he impressed? You
bet. TEL-M-OFF purchased a Toucan 87", which they
quickly and affectionately named "Le Pew", due to
the slight odor solvent ink printers emit.
"We bought the Toucan for its speed and flexibility, and it hasn't let us down," said Pat Pennington of TEL-M-OFF
"As with most
applications, ours are a little unique; we print a large variety of POP materials and have been
profiling the Toucan to best suit our specific needs. Mike Bisson, service manager at Mutoh has been
particularly helpful and responsive. We are very happy with our decision to purchase the Toucan and
with the exceptional support we get from Mutoh."

The PMA Show was a big success for Mutoh. With the photography market moving more
towards digital, the output possibilities continue to grow. The Toucan and Falcon
II printers found plenty of interested show goers who were mesmerized by the high
quality, large format graphics running off the printers and spilling into the
aisles. One potential customer impressed by the speed and quality said, "If you
can do that with my file, I'll buy it." Mutoh took that challenge right on the
trade show floor and now has a new Toucan customer.
"Not only was the PMA Show good for Mutoh's awareness in this growing industry,"
said Guy Cipresso, vice president of business development, "we actually sold
multiple products right on the show floor, it was amazing! In fact, our
demonstration units aren't even coming home, they are being shipped directly to
customer locations."

Mutoh Recommends Media Materials For The Toucan
The Mutoh Toucan Recommended Materials list was compiled by testing performed at
Mutoh America using the Mutoh Toucan 64"and 87" printers and Mutoh inks. Mutoh
provides these recommendations to give our customers a selection of materials
that should produce good results when using the Toucan printer and Mutoh ink.
Please note that materials can vary from lot-to-lot, therefore, Mutoh recommends
that customers sample the material and verify that it meets their specific
requirements before purchasing them in quantities.

New Advertisements Focus On Applications
Mutoh's new series of print advertisements featuring the Toucan, Falcon II and Falcon Outdoor
printer families place the emphasis on featured applications for each printer. The Toucan
demonstrates large format commercial outdoor applications, while the Falcon Outdoor focuses
on independent retail POP and small fleet transportation graphics. The Falcon II, with its
extreme quality, high resolution and speed focuses on photographic enlargements, fine art
reproductions, lenticulars and large indoor POP display graphics.
