5.1.15 Auto cleaning menu
Makes various settings for the auto cleaning operation.
 
The cleaning mode reflects the settings in the operation panel.

5.1.15.1 Idle auto cleaning menu
Makes settings for the auto cleaning operation on standby.

Select the time to perform the auto cleaning on standby. z 0min:Auto cleaning is not performed. z Others:After that the selected time has passed, the head cleaning selected at the cleaning menu is performed. 6.2.3 Head cleaning

This is cleaning in standby mode, 6 hours (360 min) is the current default, 9 hours is recommended for most applications.

5.1.15.2 Auto cleaning during printing menu
Makes settings for the auto cleaning during printing.

This will STOP printing DURING a print and perform a clean.
This can be useful for problems like static build up on some media, or in other cases where more cleaning or wiping can help.
5.1.15.3 Auto cleaning before printing menu
Makes settings for the auto cleaning before printing.

This will start a cleaning BEFORE each print.
This can be useful, if AutoCleaning is not being used.
Please not that all of these use the cleaning mode chosen on the front panel.

or Economy
Which mode to choose, depends on the frequency in which cleanings are scheduled and operating environment of the printer.
For Auto Cleaning functions, Economy mode is normally recommended.

document USB....I am running a Vista computer with Flexisign 8.5 and a Valuejet 1604. When I Rip and Print anything over 12 inches long the software doesn't send the whole job and the printer stops printing. My dealer told me that I either had to get an XP computer or install USB drivers and run my machine on the USB port instead of the Ethernet port. I read on your site not to use the USB ports, so what do I need to do.
