How do update firmware to the latest version for my Toucan LT?

Please Read and Review this entire process before attempting a firmware upgrade.

Loading new firmware
To correctly load new firmware, please follow the instructions mentioned below.

Step 1 : Make sure to have the following tools at hand : READ all instructions first before attemping.
a. Standard Toucan LT Firmware (File extension “*.JFL”) available HERE.
a. I2 Interweave Firmware for Toucan LT is available HERE.
(If you are using specialized firmware please email us with your needs support@mutoh.com. )
b. Computer with Centronics interface connection
c. Parallel communication cable|
d. Go2K.bat utility available HERE (if your firewall prevents you from downloading bat files please download the zip file)

Step 2 : In case the power is ON, first turn the power of the machine OFF.

Step 3 : Connect the machine and a PC by means of a parallel communication cable.

Step 4 : Press the [POWER] key on the operation panel to switch the printer ON.
All indication LEDs will go ON.
When the LEDs go OFF, press F2.
The Display will show: “READY TO LOAD”.

Step 5 : Copy Go2K.bat and the firmware .jfl file to your PC desktop.

Important; :DO NOT TURN THE PRINTER OFF OR DISCONNECT POWER DURING FIRMWARE UPLOADS.

Step 6: Drag the firmware .jfl file to the Go2K icon. A DOS type window will open up and give a status of the Go2K utility. Verify that the file transfer was complete.

Step 7 : The data will be transferred to the printer. On the printer display you can follow the sequence:
LOADING - ERASING – COPYING – COMPARING.

Step 8 : A beep tune will notify you that the process is finished.

Step 9 : Turn the printer OFF.

Step 10: restart the Printer and verify new firmware version.
