My ValueJet printer sometimes has misting in prints

If you see overspray or misting in prints, the problem may be just a collection of dust and ink residue on both the CR(carraige return) and PF (paper feed encoder assemblies. Simply wipe the encoder assemblies with a lint free wipe dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

The CR encoder assembly is located top center of the aluminum rail that the print head carriage travels on. The PF encoder assembly is located on the left side of the printer (remove cover) toward the front. Clean the clear plasic encoders.
