Download the  Media Optimization Guide TLT MOG.ZIP and TLT Distance Adjustment.RTL for the Toucan LT here:

http://www2.mutoh.com/public/Toucan%20LT/TLTMOG%20Distance%20adjust%20Test%20for%20LT/

Unzip the contents of the attached ZIP file to your desktop.
There should be three files:
SendTCP.exe          this is the Utility
SendTCP.exf           this file will only be used if your virus software strips the .exe file from your .ZIP file.
TLT Distance Adjustment.RTL    this is the already ripped file for doing Distance Adjustment on the Toucan LT.

This utility program runs on Windows XP, 98, ME and 2000.

When the files are on the desktop:

First) locate the File Manager menu on the printer and change the Write mode to "Write ONLY".  Be sure to change this back to OFF when you are finished otherwise all images will go on the harddrive and nothing will print.

Second) find the Network menu on the Printer control panel and locate the IP address unless you know it for sure.

Third) Load the widest possible media into the printer.  Loading narrow media will affect the width of the saved file.  For maximum affect later please load the widest possible piece of media you can locate, even if it means piecing two pieces together side by side.

Fourth) On the Desktop, find SendTCP.exe and double click on it.  When it opens, Answer NO when it asks if you are using Japanese version (of course that is unless you do want it to run in Japanese).

Select IP and enter your printers IP address
Select Port and enter 9100
Select File and locate the Desktop where the .RTL file is located.
Select 'Start to Send'.

The printer should show 'Data sending' or some message indicating it is processing the file to the harddrive. You need to wait and don't close the utility until it is finished writing to the HDD.

Return to the File Manager menu and change 'Write mode' to OFF. Locate the Reprint menu and it will search the HDD for files.  There should be a new file on the harddrive.  Select it and change quantity to 1.  Press ENTER and the file should print.
Tip:  When attempting to dial in the Distance Adjustment, set this quantity to 5.  Then during printing you can access the Distance Adjustment Change menu by selecting the Parameter / Distance Adjust menu item (during printing).
Exit to the top menu: Ready to print

Instructions for users whose Virus software has stripped out the .exe file.
Find the SendTCP.exf, click once on it and it should highlight.  Now 'right mouse' on it and select Rename.  Change the ending letter from 'f' to 'e'.  Click "YES" when it warns you about changing file types.  The file on the desktop should now be called SendTCP.exe which is the file that you need to complete the rest of the task.
