Static is causing the nozzles to drop ink in a mist across prints.

Static can generate enough electricity to fire the piezos in the heads in an uncontrolled fashion.

document When printing 30" material on my VJ1204 (48" printer) the printhead still moves the entire 48" width of the printer (not prints but just moves beyond the media width) I noticed it only does it on some profiles & not others.

document USB....I am running a Vista computer with Flexisign 8.5 and a Valuejet 1604. When I Rip and Print anything over 12 inches long the software doesn't send the whole job and the printer stops printing. My dealer told me that I either had to get an XP computer or install USB drivers and run my machine on the USB port instead of the Ethernet port. I read on your site not to use the USB ports, so what do I need to do.
