Mutoh PJ Series: Mutoh’s high-volume PJ industrial printer line gives you the strength and speed to quickly become a heavyweight contender with a powerful knock out punch!
The PJ-1946 (72") and PJ-3346 (130") are new additions to the championship Toucan line, these new printers deliver a one-two punch with best in class print speed and top rank image quality for large production runs of outdoor printing applications. The PJ-1946 and PJ-3346 are capable of print speeds up to; 985 sf/h; at 360 x 180 dpi (billboard mode) to meet the most demanding in your face jobs. In production mode (360 x 360 dpi), you can deliver a knock out blow with print speeds of 500sf/h. The printers’ high quality print mode (360 x 720 dpi) allows speeds up to 250sf/h.
Setting the pace for reliable performance, both printers incorporate six 256 nozzle Spectra® print heads specifically developed for true solvent-based ink applications. The printers use high-speed solvent based double density inks (C, M, Y, K, Lc, Lm), making it possible to print directly onto a wide variety of standard uncoated materials including PVC and banner materials. The printers also feature two heating elements, one for media acclimatization before printing and the other for drying of prints. Head height is adjustable in five steps, from 2.5 mm up to 4.5 mm. Unattended printing is made possible thanks to six, 2 liter, ink bottles that are refillable on the fly, combined with a motorized / sensor controlled media feed and take-up system accommodating media rolls up to 308 pounds.
