3.4.1 Setting thick media

This section explains how to load thick media.

When printing on resin board, aluminum sheets (including composite sheets), steel sheets, glass, or other thick materials with a hard surface, do not place them directly on the media-feed table.
Doing so can cause erroneous printing.
The grid roller will become worn and media will not be fed correctly.
You can set the following thick media with this printer.
Weight: 5 kg or less
Length: 900 mm or less
Width: 1,300 mm or less
Length: 10 mm or less

a.Remove the media from the printer.
b.Measure the media's thickness with calipers or similar tool.
c.Set the thick media again.
d.Input the difference of the setting value displayed on the operation panel and the actual thickness as the adjustment value.
The head height setting value plus the input adjustment value is displayed in "*.*".
When you press the [>] key on the operation panel, the setting value (*.*) and the input adjustment value (graphics\true.gif.graphics\true.gif) are each displayed, as in "Thick. + Adj: *.* + graphics\true.gif.graphics\true.gif".
